golfing getaway
4 nights from £940 per person
This trip is designed to bring together a small group of golf buddies (up to six) who wish to experience the region in luxury. Tuscany is famous for its rolling countryside, olive groves and vineyards.
The golf here is quite special too. The Antognolla course, for example, stands at the foot of a castle, a fascinating medieval manor house dating back to the XII century and the Fattoria Caldese course weaves across the hills, featuring breathtaking panoramic views of the rugged landscape.
We have three cracking days of golf in this great little getaway and one day visiting the awesome town of Arezzo for a bit of R and R and wine tastings.

to set the scene
You will be collected from the airport, transported to Casa Leana and then each day of your stay you will be chauffeured to some of the region’s lovely golf courses. And in the evenings visit some of our favourite local restaurants and bars, not forgetting an in house four course Tuscan feast cooked for you by an authentic, Italian, local.
Our lovely old farmhouse will be handed over to you for the duration of your stay for your exclusive use but don’t worry we only live a couple of kilometres away so will be on hand should you need anything and Leigh will be your driver.
You’ll love the welcome hamper full of goodies plus 4 bottles of locally produced wine, compliments of Casa Leana.
No trip to Italy is complete without a Fiat 500 experience. Our tiny car is so iconic that driving around in it attracts as much attention as a minor celebrity and with your very own chauffeur driving you into town one evening you will certainly feel like one!

Day 1
Collection from Perugia, Florence or Pisa Airport and onwards to Casa Leana. Let’s get a round in before dinner at a lovely little 9 holer just around the corner from us. This course is high in technical difficulty and set in beautiful landscape and Caldese is only fifteen minutes drive from Casa Leana.
The floodlit lighting that surrounds the course lake will allow you to play well into the evening. Afternoon refreshments and dinner will be taken outside the clubhouse which has amazing views of the course and the adjacent equestrian centre.
Highlights
Relax around the pool
9 holes (or 18 if you prefer!) in the beautiful Fattoria Caldese Golf Centre
Dinner with fabulous views across the valley

Day 2
Today we go a bit further afield to a truly amazing golf course which is about a 45 minute drive from Casa Leana. The Golf Antognolla is a magnificent 18 hole course designed by the famous architect Robert Trent Jones II.
The course stands at the foot of the castle of Antognolla, a fascinating medieval manor house dating back to the XII century. The course is particularly interesting and full of technical difficulties. Lunch will be taken at a restaurant close by. If we can get there early we could do nine holes before lunch with a further nine after again depending on the wine consumption.
Back to Casa Leana for a typical Tuscan meal cooked from scratch by an authentic, Italian, local.
Highlights
A day of golf at the Antognolla course
Lunch in Corciano
Home cooked Tuscan meal cooked by a local and served in the Casa Leana dining area.

Day 3
Today we will be visiting Arezzo. Arezzo is one of the wealthiest cities in Tuscany due to its connections with the gold industry. It sits atop a hill (where else?) at the crossroads of four valleys - the Val Tiberina, Casentino, Valdarno and Valdichiana. A bit of sightseeing, a visit to the museum and the obligatory cappuccino and cake then off to one of the fabulous vineyards that surround this city. A visit to a vineyard and a wine tasting is an awesome opportunity that I recommend to everyone (unless you don't drink, of course but even so the visit to the estate might still be fun).
Lunch enroute in a lovely little family run restaurant and then back home to Casa Leana.
Collection from the house in our iconic Fiat 500. A trip through the Tuscan countryside for an evening meal in a little family run pizzeria.

Nine holes before lunch and then maybe another nine after depending on how the wine flows!
Our evening meal will be in another one of our favourite local restaurants.
